Jason Hughes, PhD, MS, OTR/L

Dr. Jason Hughes is an Associate Professor and Director of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at Lincoln Memorial University. He is the founding director of the OTD program and is in the process of leading it through its initial accreditation.

Dr. Hughes earned his PhD in Applied Health Sciences from Augusta University. He earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Milligan University. His bachelor’s degree is in Exercise Science with an emphasis in kinesiology. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Hughes served as Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at Augusta University. Dr. Hughes continuously explores innovative ways to better deliver course content. He created a free mobile application, OT Kinesiology Pro Consult to aid in the instruction of how to measure joint range of motion and has presented nationally and internationally on topics including 3D printing and virtual reality.

Dr. Hughes’ scholarly interests include curriculum design, upper extremity orthopedic conditions, and interprofessional education.
