George Weinstein, M.B.A.

George Weinstein is the AAL Vice President for Business Development, overseeing all sales and marketing efforts and outreach to past, current, and potential clients. He joined AAL in 2008 as a project manager for professional development programs such as the Institute for Teaching and Learning (ITL) and the Chairs and Academic Administrators Management Program (CAAMP). He went on to do marketing for these programs as well as AAL’s other professional development offerings and consulting services. George also coauthored nine published academic articles with AAL consultants, primarily focused on the positive outcomes for participants of AAL programs. After a sabbatical to focus on his love of writing and helping other writers achieve their goals, he has returned to AAL to once again champion its world-class programs and solutions for the healthcare industry and the academic health professions.

George is also the author of six published novels—ranging from historical fiction to mysteries and suspense-thrillers—and is the executive director and former president of the Atlanta Writers Club, which was founded in 1914 and is one of the oldest, largest, and most active nonprofit writing organizations in the US. The Atlanta Writers Conference, which George has directed since 2009, has been cited often as the best writing conference in Georgia and has received more votes in polling by The Writer magazine than any other writing conference in the nation.
