Uri Hangorsky, D.D.S., M.S.
Interim Chair of the Department of Periodontics & Associate Dean for Student Life, Admissions & Pass Program
Dr. Hangorsky is Interim Chair of the Department of Periodontics and Associate Dean for Student Life, Admissions and the PASS Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He had previously served as the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Penn Dental Medicine. Dr. Hangorsky received his DDS degree from Columbia University, completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Vermont followed by a Master’s Degree in Periodontology at Case Western University. Dr. Hangorsky currently serves on the ADA Council on Education and Licensure. He is also a member of the ADEA Policy and Research Committee. Dr. Hangorsky’s contributions to dental education have been recognized by several teaching awards including the Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching and the Graduate Periodontics Outstanding Teaching Award.
