Catherine Todero, Ph.D.

AAL senior consultant Catherine Todero has enjoyed a 50-year career in nursing and nursing education. She served as the Creighton University College of Nursing Dean between 2015 and 2023 before retiring as Vice Provost of Health Sciences. Dr. Todero earned her BSN from Creighton in 1972 and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1974, followed by a Ph.D. in administration, curriculum and instruction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1986.

From 1979 to 1980, she was the director of Creighton’s R.N.-BSN curriculum. She also served in the U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corps with the 82nd Field Hospital from 1979 to 1983, attaining the rank of captain. From 1989 to 2006, she was Associate Dean of Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. Dr. Todero served as Director of the School of Nursing at San Diego State University from 2006 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, she was Associate Dean for Nursing and Regional Site Coordinator for Azusa Pacific University.
