Michael Silveus, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Silveus is a Senior Consultant at AAL. Given his broad range of expertise in leadership development, institutional feasibility assessment and founding, accreditation, strategic planning, and faculty mentoring, Dr. Silveus offers a unique blend of academic, social service, and entrepreneurial business experience. Dr. Silveus graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry. He was a member of the Jesuits at Loyola University Chicago, where he obtained a master’s in philosophy; he also studied classics at Harvard.
He served academically on the faculties of Georgetown and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and administratively at Detroit-Mercy. Dr. Silveus has extensive experience in dental ethics. As a Jesuit, he worked in development and campus ministry and provided care at dental clinics in underserved areas. He was on the original administrative team that founded the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School network. Cristo Rey, a ground-breaking model that blends academics and work-study, has been replicated in more than 60 schools across the United States.
Dr. Silveus is a member of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), American Dental Association, and Academy of Osseointegration. He serves on many boards, including the Institute of Clinical Bioethics at St. Joseph’s University. He is proud to be a graduate of the first ADEA Leadership Institute.
