The Academic Leadership for Residents course is an experiential internship that equips residents in advanced education programs with contextual knowledge on productive guidance methods and constructive management techniques for an academic setting.
This onsite competency-based program consists of two 3-day phases designed to develop the essential knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors consistent among academic leaders. In addition to the exchange of information, the experience entails interprofessional relationship-building and networking opportunities. Those who complete both program phases will receive an AAL Academic Leadership for Residents Certificate.
