Interprofessional Leaders
Development Program

2019 Dates Announced! February 6-8, 2019, in Washington, D.C.

The IPEC Interprofessional Leadership Development Program (ILDP) is designed to include both deans (and other senior academic administrators with similar institutional responsibilities) and institutional administrators who are responsible for campus-wide IPE efforts. Deans and senior administrators from multiple schools at the same institution are strongly encouraged to attend along with their campus-wide IPE administrator. Participants must be from IPEC member associations schools.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

with a Dedicated Interprofessional Focus

The IPEC ILDP is a three-day, interactive professional development experience, distinguished by an emphasis on leading in an interprofessional environment. It is unique because the ILDP engages both senior leaders and administrators responsible for campus-wide IPE initiatives in a program that includes work on a project at the sponsoring institution. The ILDP is facilitated by AAL experts as well as internationally recognized IPE leaders.

The IPEC ILDP is scheduled to take place February 6-8, 2019. IPEC will release the Call for Applications in August 2019.

The program includes topics such as: personal and interpersonal leadership competencies for IPE leadership; managing conflict associated with IPE; strategies for implementation of IPE; leadership during institutional and cultural change; engaging in national IPE initiatives; building coalitions and teams; and IPE outcomes assessment. In addition, each institution represented will bring an IPE project to the program on which to apply ILDP learning.
